Research has identified a national shortage of well-trained nurses in Egypt, with a special need for Christian nurses!
The St. Verena Nursing Training Program accepts and trains underprivileged, bright young people from all over Egypt to prepare them for the highest standards of patient care. The training program provides courses as well as practical hospital training over a 6-month period of time. The students are taught to become nurses who treat everyone in their care with dignity and compassion. The trainees return back to their hometown/villages and are employed right away as there is an acute shortage of nursing staff in the Christian hospitals. The Nursing Program started in 2012 and as of this year more than 460 nurses have graduated from the program.
Share in the blessing of sponsoring a student to give him/her a future career. The total expense per person is $1,000 for the 6-month training course that can change someone’s life!
