The General Bishopric of Africa aims to help engage people to Christ on the foundation of the Coptic Orthodox faith, coinciding with the Holy traditions of the Coptic church and in integration with the local culture.
The Bishopric is serving in 4 countries (5 churches with 5 priests including a few resident servants).

Missions:
- Who can serve in Medical missions? Doctors, Pharmacists & Nurses.
- What specialties are needed? Doctors with different specialties; for consultations, minor procedures & surgeries.
- How procedures and surgeries done? Patients to be prepared before the mission arrives. Medical supplies (all supplies used insurgeries or for doctors’ need) are prepared as well. Medications are given for free to allpatients.
History:
These countries have been served for the past couple of years under the patronage of His Grace Metropolitan Antonious Markos and Father Daoud Lamei. In March 2021, His Holiness Pope Tawadrous II ordained His Grace Bishop Joseph as a General Bishop of Africa.
How can you help:
- Prayers to the service: We believe in the power of prayers that are capable of doing miracles and “so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ” (Col 1:28)
- Come give us a hand: You can come over and help us by joining short/long missions during the whole year round
- Donate: Donations will support services offered to the needy, the sick and developmental services in church and countries (either monetary or materialistic)
- Sponsor: You can sponsor a family or child by scheduling monthly fixed donations
