The conflict in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, started in November 2020, claiming thousands of lives. Despite a peace agreement in Tigray in 2022, a severe humanitarian crisis persists in northern Ethiopia due to drought, ongoing hostilities, widespread hunger, and escalating food insecurity.
In addition, there was a recent mudslide in Ethiopia triggered by heavy rain on July 23.
