According to the Government of Egypt’s UPR Report in 2010, approximately 11% of the country’s population lives with some form of disability. Under the Auspices of His Grace Bishop Youssef, H.O.P.E. has teamed up with BLESS (Bishopric of Public Ecumenical and Social Services) in order to share in the blessing of providing medical equipment for our physically disabled and needy brethren. The project aims to help support around 2,100 physically disabled people all around Egypt by providing them with the following devices: wheelchairs, hand crutches, armpit crutches, trio crutches, walkers, medical shoes for children, motorbikes to rehabilitate people into the labor market, devices for children, prosthetic devices for adults, and chairs for children who suffer from cerebral palsy.
