On December 11, 2016, a bomb ripped through a section reserved for women at St.
Peter’s Church of Al Abbaseya attached to Cairo’s main Coptic cathedral during
Sunday morning Liturgy, killing at least 25 people and wounding 49, mostly women
and children. This deadly attack against the church by Islamic terrorism is
considered to be the deadliest against Egypt’s Christian minority in years. Under
the auspices of H.G. Bishop Youssef, H.O.P.E. has opened a relief fund to help
